ITEMS NEEDED
onion-1/2of big onion chopped
tomato-1chopped
garlic-3 pieces
brinjal-3 pieces
turmeric pwdr-1/4 tspn
sambar pwdr-2 tbsp
chilli pwdr-2tspn(not shown)
cumin seed-1/2tspn
methi seed-1/4 tspn
tamarind pulp-1 cup extract from small lemon size tamarind
grinded masala
MASALA FOR GRINDING
onion-2tbsp
garlic-3 pieces chopped
coconut-2tbsp
black pepper-2tspn
cumin seed-2tspn
heat one tspn oil in a pan and add pepper and cumin seed and fry for a second.
now add onion,garli and coconut and fry it and grind to a smooth paste.
mix tamrind extract,sambar pwdr,chilli pwdr,turmeric pwdr and grinded masala together and keep aside.
heat oil in the same pan and add cumin seed and methi seed and allow them to fry,
now add onion and garlic and fry it,
now add brinjal and fry it,
add chopped tamato and smash it well,
once tomato is get smashed add the tamarind mix and cook until raw smell goes and oil leaves on top.
this is the final stage for this gravy.Serve with hot white rice and enjoy.
