ITEMS NEEDED
butter milk-1 cup
okra-5 nos chopped into pieces
mustard seed and urad dhal-each 1 tspn
red chiil-3 break into two
curry leaves as needed
turmeric pwdr-1/4 tspn
coconut masala-1/2 cup
oil -2 tspn
salt as needed
FOR COCONUT MASALA
thoor dhal,channa dhal(kadala paruppu),corainder seed -each 1 tspn(soak them in water for half hour)
green chilli-3 nos
cumin seed-1 tspn
coconut-2 tbsp
hing(perugayam)-1/4 tspn
grind the above items to a paste and keep aside.
heat oil in a pan add mustard seed and urad dhal
now add broken red chilli and curry leaves and fry for a second
now add okra alon with turmeric pwdr and fry well
now add the grinded coconut masala along with salt and cook well until masala is little thick.
now add butter milk and give it a stir and allow to boil and remove from heat.
serve with rice and enjoy.
