CHICKEN BRIYANI(PRESSURE COOKER METHOD)

ITEMS NEEDED
 Rice-2cup
Chicken -1LB
Onion-1sliced thinly
Tomato-1
Garlic-1tbsp chopped
Curry leaves
Mint leaves-a handful
Corainder leaves-a handful
Green Chilli-5
Ginger and Garlic Paste-1tspn
Cashewnut-1tbsp
DryGrapes -1tbsp

TO TEMPER
Oil-3 tbsp
Cinnamon stick-1 large piece
Green Cardamom-3 pieces
Black Cardamom-2
Cloves-4
Bay Leaves-2
Maratti Moggu-1


MARINATION FOR CHICKEN
Chilli Pwdr-2 tspn
Corainder Pwdr-3 tspn
Garam Masala Pwdr-1tspn
Sakthi Masala Briyani  Pwdr-1 tspn(optional)
Turmeric Pwdr-1/2 tspn
White Pepper Pwdr-1/2 tspn
Salt -1tspn
Yogurt-3tbsp













Marinate chicken with the items given for marination and keep for atleast one hour.soak rice for half hour.now heat oil in a pressure cooker add the items given for temper and fry for a second,now add green chilli and fry for a second then add chopped onion and garlic and fry until raw smell goes and then add cashew nut,dry grapes,mint and corainder leaves and fry for few seconds,then add chopped tomatoes and fry until tomato smashed,now add the marinated chicken and mix well and cook until chicken is half cooked,now add the soaked rice and mix well and check for salt,if neede u can add at this stage and add water in the ratio(1:2) and allow to boil,once the bubbles started turn the heat to sim and put the lid and whistle and keep for 10 mnts(no more than 10 mnts).Once pressure is released serve hot with any raitha.Tasty and yummy briyani is ready.



note:u can substitute with goat meat or vegetables as per your choice.
